I don’t write to impress others or to document that I existed, or even to remember certain memories. I write to feel, I write to discover what I truly believe. Writing puts me to the ultimate test to see who I really am. For when one writes, it is impossible to hide one’s true self. When one writes, it is their raw, truest self coming out, speaking its mind. People can spend their entire lives trying to discover who they really are, but who they really are is written out on paper. It’s written in black and white, crystal clear right in front of them. It is only when one writes for their self, that one discovers who they really are.
